The new 4.0 litre, twin turbocharged V8 Continental GT coupé and GTC convertible achieve exceptional standards for power-to-emissions in the high luxury sports car sector.

A Texas court may soon decide if the man who drove his Bugatti Veyron into a lake was committing fraud after his insurance company claimed he crashed the car on purpose to collect $2.2 million in insurance money. Wait, it wasn't a low-flying pelican? You don't say. Andy House was driving along a highway in Galveston, Texas on November 12, 2009 when, for some reason, he drove his Bugatti Veyron into a lake destroying the million-dollar exotic car. At the time the man claimed to reporters, and to us, that this was because of the reflection of a low-flying pelican he saw after dropping his cellphone.

"I had dropped my phone, people dont know what happened," House told us adding "What it appeared to been was a reflection." Unbeknownst to House, the accident was filmed by passerby Joe Garza. The video didn't seem to show a low-flying pelican. "it's unusual that you have video of a car crash" said Attorney David Miller, who is representing the insurance company. "It's wonderful that a jury will be able to actually look at the sequence of events"

I myself (Spencer Berke) tend to stay on topic with all of our blog posts, but recently I have been reading up on other blogs and websites and discovering an entire new world that is starting to blossom into a huge trend. Many people may find it a little too much or a big too different, but to some people it's a process that takes a lot of thought and imagination. It's a trend called "stanced", you pretty much find the biggest and widest set of rims that you can find, test fit numerous amounts of rubber, lower your car as much as possible, roll your fenders so the wheels can fit and prepare to scrape on every surface you encounter.

Some say, "why?" and some say "why not?".

Whatever you prefer, at the end of the day it's your vehicle that you own and you drive. I came across this awesome Audi A8 that was "stanced" and it looked pretty cool. If you search some of the online blogs for these types of cars, you tend to find inexpensive cars. When an higher end vehicle pops up, usually it's a surprise. I've seen anything from Mercedes SL AMG to a Fiat 500 that are dragging their frames on the ground. Some look great, some just can't pull off the look. You be the judge and take a look at this Audi A8 that has set foot into the stance life style.

These are definitely wheels that you don't see every day. Trying to pull off a different look is hard, but these wheels are simple, clean but they stand out in their own way making this car a crowd pleaser in many ways. Being different isn't always bad!

As you can see above, the tires are stretched to the point where the lip of the rim is almost touching the fender lining. Having a stretched tire allows the car to sit lower, that's why you are seriously committed to the look of your car.

Last Friday was the Susan G. Komen walk for breast cancer awareness and the Symbolic team was definitely prepared! We had the Passion Pink Bentley outside along with another beautiful GTC covered in pink bows. Enjoy the photos!

A few weeks ago our marketing man Rick organized a very nice event to unveil the new body style 2012 Bentley Convertible. We had a huge showing and some very special touches thanks to SoCal Ice and an amazing artists displaying his artwork for us dedicated towards breast cancer foundations. Anyways, onto the photos!

As you can see above the 2012 Bentley GT in Passion Pink was definitely an eye catcher, many people loved the color in person, it's a very subtle pink.

In an effort to move the Grand Sport right along in sales, Bugatti has graced the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show floor with this sultry red model. Everything about this car is red; the exterior, the interior, and the partially red wheels. It's a fitting color considering there's a fiery hot 8.0L W16 engine with 1001 HP under the hood.

Another surprise from Jon Olsson...

As many of you know, Jon Olsson is a huge Lamborghini fan. He has had a handful of lambos including an LP670 that he had wrapped and drove on the Gumball 3000. If you're not too familiar with Mr. Ollson, Olsson was born in Mora, Sweden and is a professional freeskier and alpine ski racer. He's pretty well known for having a custom made ski box attached to each one of his vehicles to carry his gear. Jon is an incredible skier and has some serious taste in his vehicles. He actually had designed a one of a kind car with team Redbull and ADV.1 wheels. (Rebellion)

Jon has been waiting to take delivery of his new Lamborghini Aventador for quite some time now, in the mean time he decided to pick up an older Gallardo and added his own touch. I had read on his blog that he plans on using his Gallardo as a daily driver, perfect winter warrior with the AWD system!

"The story starts back in Rosemont, Pennsylvania in September 2003 when the Ferrari F50 was stolen from its original owner. At this point, Motors Insurance paid out on the insurance policy and nothing was heard of until five years later. In August 2008, The FBI found the car in Kentucky and stored it during the investigation in Lexington, Kentucky.

This leads us to May 2009, almost a year later, when FBI officer Fredrick C. Kingston crashed the stolen and recovered F50 into a hedge causing what Motors Insurance claim was approximately $ 750,000 worth of damage. Since then, Motors Insurance and the US Government have been locked in a lawsuit over the availability of evidence about the incident.

Among the central items of evidence was an email containing the statement of the passenger, Assistant U.S. Attorney J. Hamilton Thompson, which stated he was invited for a “short ride” before the Ferrari was to be moved from an impound garage.

Judge Avern Cohn used federal law which grants immunity from prosecution if property is being held by law enforcement. He is quoted as stating “The government’s purpose in holding the vehicle was not to create a status of either consent or punitive coercion. … Rather, the object was to control and preserve relevant evidence.”

McLaren crashes factory-fresh MP4-12C

The rollout of the McLaren MP4-12C hasn't been trouble-free, but at least their owners have avoided immediately piling them into trees and other vehicles upon delivery. This photo shows, again, that McLaren might be able to handle that service for its customers all on its own.

Caught yesterday near McLaren's headquarters, the poster on the ClioSport forums says this MP4-12C hit his friend's car, then crashed into a fence. You car crash CSI wannabees will note the protective blue plastic on the hood, which means the car was likely being driven to a dealer when it went wobbly, and that the force of the crash was enough to set off the interior air bags.

McLaren really needs to let Lewis Hamilton have a day off.

Story:

Florida Highway Patrol says the busy State Road 836 was reopened in both directions at NW 87th Avenue after a crash had forced the closure early Friday.

The closure reportedly stemmed from a Lamborghini crashing into a concrete divider, overturning and catching on fire, authorities said. Some construction workers in the area helped pull the two men out of the burning car.

When Miami-Dade Fire Rescue arrived at the scene both of the men were out of the car, and the car was still ablaze.

Both people were transported to Ryder Trauma Center in critical condition.

Authorities were alerted to the crash at 4:07 a.m. The investigation into the crash was continuing.

Ferrari Enzo with ADV.1 Wheels...

I've been keeping up with these guys on this build from ADV.1 wheels, they had an amazing opportunity to display their wheels on a Ferrari Enzo which is a very hard car to install aftermarket wheels on. Here's the story... enjoy! Happy Monday.

"About a month ago we got the call from Derek at Martino Auto Concepts asking if we'd ever done an Enzo. *Obviously the answer was no, however do we have the capability to do one, yes absolutely. *A couple days later, MAC had the Enzo in the shop, wheels off the car and tech standing by for measurements. *We needed every tiny detail on the vehicle since we didn't have access to the car here in Miami or LA we needed them to provide us with all the specs in order to be able to reverse engineer the Enzo's centerlock hub setup and mounting surfaces. *We provided them with detailed drawings showing exactly what was needed and shortly after we had photos and detailed schematics from them. *At that point it was off to the races. *

With only a month to complete the set in time for their event which would debut the car, we knew this was going to be a tight one and would likely be down to the last minute. *We were right as the wheels were complete literally 1 day before the show and were overnighted to MAC along with the tires from Pirelli on a thousand dollar plus overnight Saturday delivery. *12 or so hours later, after struggling to get the massive 375's mounted, the car was complete and Cris from C3 Photography was standing by to get the shots in before the car left to the event.

The wheel setup was completely our choice so we opted to go with one of our new styles for 2012 release. *The ADV5.2SL which is a modified version of our existing ADV5.2 style, however this is the fat free version. *3 styles will be released using our superlight weight reduction process including this one shown in our 3 piece track spec configuration. *The lightweight model is vehicle specific in terms of design and load rating in order to get the lowest possible weight based on the load rating of the vehicle it's intended for. *In this case the Enzo, however without enough time to engineer them to be as light as they really could be by testing sample pieces for load rating analysis this set was beefed up for safety purposes. *We have however done so with the 1 piece version which has shown results under 18 pounds in some sizes / applications such as the Lamborghini Gallardo 18x12 race setup.

For the Enzo, we knew that only one tire was going to provide the epicness it deserved, the Pirelli 375/20/21 rear. *We contacted Jason at Pirelli tires and without hesitation he had a complete set on it's way to us, huge thanks to Pirelli Tires for coming through on this project. *The wheel was designed around the massive rear in a 21x13 size with a 20x8.5 front using their 245/30/20. *The wheel finish was our popular polished gunmetal lip / matte black center combination for this project as it's subtle yet at the same time different from what you'd normally see.

Martino Concepts did an amazing job getting this organized for us and providing all the much needed details and dimensions. *Huge thanks to Joe and Derek for the opportunity to be a part of this epic build. *Also, huge thanks to Cris from C3 Photography for being there for the shoot, and for providing some amazing photos literally hours after they were taken.

Last but not least, huge thanks to the team at ADV.1 for getting this done on time! *Tom, our engineer for working his magic, Justin for the programming epicness, Terrence and Sean for their sleepless nights trying to get the parts, machining and finishing organized and to everyone else who took part in this build."
